Cowlitz County’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is activated in response to COVID-19 and to support Cowlitz County Health & Human Services. The EOC is receiving requests from community partners for personal protective equipment (PPE), cleaning supplies, and materials that are needed to operate their business and/or mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Regionally and nationally, resources are scarce. The items delivered to the EOC must be distributed according to Washington State Department of Health’s prioritization criteria.
Agencies and organizations that provide essential services can request resources through the EOC by contacting Incident Management Team’s Health & Medical Branch at (360) 577-3152 extension 3152, from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday. Provide the following information when you call:
- The number of people your organization serves.
- Types of services provided during the pandemic.
- The number of staff at the facility in direct contact with others, if possible.
A completed 213RR form may be requested, so it’s advised to fill it out before calling and be as specific as possible. Only request what is critically needed and appropriate for the services you deliver.
Agencies and organizations should request their needs through standard commercial ordering procedures. This is often quicker than waiting for a resource request to be filled at the county. If organizations are unable to acquire resources through normal ordering procedures, the EOC may be able to assist finding and supplying resources. The requesting agency is responsible for the cost of the supplies if there is a cost associated with filling the order.
